Prokofiev, Sergei

Sergei Sergeievich Prokofiev(1891-1953), Russian composer, attended St. Petersburg Conservatory, studying with Liadov, Rimsky-Korsakov and Teherepin. From 1922 to 1936 he resided in Paris, and then returned to Moscow. He composed operas, symphonies, concertos, ballet music, chamber music and film scores.
